Say hello to our pregnancy blogger Lucy. We have loved Lucy’s blog for a long time, having worked with her when her little girl was just a baby, so we were thrilled when we heard that she was expecting her third baby. Her blog is full of beautiful photography and such lovely tales of family life. Check out her announcement post to see how she shared the news.
Here at The Essential One we specialise in the essentials for pregnancy and the first year of your baby’s life, with our range of maternity clothes and baby clothes. When you are first pregnant, especially with your first, it can seem like a complete minefield- there are so many things that you think that you may need and it can all seem a little overwhelming. That’s why we were so thrilled to have Lucy on board – being an experienced Mummy, we couldn’t wait to have her share her tips, tales and updates with us.
Over to Lucy to get a bit of introduction into her and her lovely family…
Hi, I’m Lucy; I’m mummy to a bright as a button 4-year-old boy and a little ray of sunshine 2-year-old girl, as well as wife to my best friend Rich. I blog over at Dear Beautiful, where you’ll find all sorts of stories about our adventures as a family. And our latest and most exciting adventure yet is that later this year we are going to go from family of four, to family of five, when our third baby joins us in October. I can’t even fully put into words how blessed and how excited we feel to be adding to our family. The two children are so utterly thrilled about getting a new brother or sister that I know they are going to find that wait until the Autumn a tough one. We always said that three was our “magic number” and we all can’t wait to find out just how magical it is.
Considering this is my third time on the merry-go-round that is pregnancy, it’s been quite different to my previous two. While they were both easy-breezy with no symptoms; I’ve suffered a lot of nausea, some sickness and other delightful symptoms like spots and crazily-dry hair, as well as a fair bit of disbelief this time round, which made the first trimester a bit tricky. But now that the second trimester is here, I’m so pleased to be feeling like me again, and to have reached that lovely ‘glowing’ stage. And it’s been so amazing to finally be able to tell everyone our exciting news. As we’re pretty sure that this will be our final baby, I’m so keen to make the most of every moment of this pregnancy, and really try to enjoy each second; and that will include documenting my pregnancy so that I can remember it in the future.
So I was so thrilled when The Essential One asked me if I would be interested in working with them throughout my third pregnancy as their pregnancy blogger; sharing some regular updates and other posts here on their blog, as well as on my own blog and youtube channel. I was introduced to them when my little girl was a baby, and they kindly sent me some of their sleepsuits and bodysuits for her to try out and me to review. I couldn’t have sung their praises highly enough; we were so impressed with their softness, the beautiful designs, and the fact they looked like new after each and every wash. They were firm favourites in our house, and I was really sad when she got too big to wear them anymore. I know that they’ve extended their range a lot since then, as well as adding a maternity range, so I can’t wait to try out some The Essential One for myself and to share all the highs and lows of a third pregnancy.”
